Saffron organises social media workshop for charities
Saffron Interactive

22-Jul-2010 » Training Press Releases » Saffron is delighted to be organising a social media workshop in collaboration with the not for profit partnership Time &Talents, the reputation management consultancy ReputationInc and Whizz-Kidz, a charity for disabled young people.

The workshop, taking place on Thursday 29 July 2010, is designed to help charity and community organisations overcome the challenges they face with social media and to enhance their services using the platforms that have transformed the way we share, communicate and learn.

Kim George, from the award winning instructional design team at Saffron, will be co-facilitating the workshop, presenting case studies of organisations successfully using social media and running surgery-style sessions. In these sessions, charity representatives will have the opportunity to share their real life social media challenges with media professionals and gain tips on raising their profile, promoting their services, spreading ideas and gaining volunteers via social media.

Saffron is thrilled to continue the exciting work it's doing in the social learning arena, and to extend our people's knowledge of social media tools to the voluntary sector. So, if you're from a charity or community organisation wanting to find out more about social media or if you're a social media enthusiast or marketing executive who can offer guidance and advice, we want to hear from you! For a place at the workshop, contact marie@volunteer.co.uk

About Time & Talents for Westminster

Time & Talents is a not for profit partnership working with private, public and voluntary sector organisations. We broker employer supported volunteering projects that serve local needs, with a particular focus on skills based and sustainable work.

In addition to the individual consultancy and support we provide, we also run a joint programme of events to enable our partners to network and collaborate together.

Time & Talents is part of Volunteer Centre Westminster, a registered charity with a mission to 'transform lives through volunteering'. We are working in partnership with Volunteering England on a new Time & Talents Network, with the first pilots in Exeter, Darlington and Oxford.

About Saffron Interactive

The people at Saffron are passionate about learning. We are not interested in adding to the mountain of dull, mind-numbing 'e-telling' that often masquerades as e-learning. We want your people to be inspired, to be energised, to make the right choices and to take action. This is why we are in business.

As well as consistently producing award-winning e-learning, over the past two years we have pioneered mobile learning, social learning and blended learning. We are always exploring the possibilities offered by new technologies and methodologies to create bespoke solutions, tailor made for the organisation and the learner.

Our business is based on our belief that learning is natural, that a love of learning is normal, that real learning is passionate learning and that learning should be fun. This idea values questions above answers...creativity above fact regurgitation...individuality above uniformity...and excellence above standardised performance. However we evolve, you can rest assured that all our learning solutions embody these principles.
